Come help us kick off our 2018-2019 season on Tuesday, October 9, at The Acorn Club, 1519 Locust Street, Philadelphia. As featured speaker we welcome The Reverend Howard Storm, a Christian minister, writer, and painter. Storm says that he was an atheist and a very aggressive person until he had what he calls a "near death" experience. He wrote about his experience in the book My Descent into Death. Since then he has appeared on the Today Show, the Oprah Winfrey Show, and 48 hours.
The luncheon meeting will start with social hour at 12 noon, followed by the luncheon at 12:30 and then the presentation. The price for the luncheon is $35 per person. There will be a cash bar for those who wish wine or other refreshments, including non-alcoholic beverages. Discounted parking is available at LAZ Self Park, 1500 Locust Street. For further information, call the Luncheon Chair, Barbara Alton, at 215-563-1876. We ask that reservations be confirmed by Thursday, October 6, 2018.
