Our series of luncheon programs runs from September to May. All programs are on Tuesdays at The Acorn Club, 1519 Locust Street, Philadelphia, beginning at 12 noon.

Parking is available at LAZ Self Park at 1500 Locust Street, across the street from the Acorn Club. This lot has an elevator to the street, if needed. Additional lots are located on Latimer Street (from Locust street, turn right on 15th Street and go a half block to turn right onto Latimer Street).

By public transportation, The Acorn Club is convenient to buses, trains, and the subway.

Our 2017-2018 luncheon season began on Tuesday, Octoberber 20, 2016, and concludes on April 17, 2018. The complete series of luncheon speakers for the season is as follows:
  • October 10, 2017: David Kasievich, Head of School, St. James School, Philadelphia, speaking on "St. James School: Breaking the Cycle of Poverty Through Education." (See notice below.)

April 17: The Reverend Frank Allen

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, the Episcopal Church Club of Philadelphia will hear the Reverend Frank Allen speak on “Spiritual Gifts.” Allen has been rector of St. David’s (Radnor) since 1997. He grew up in Dallas, Texas and attended Duke University on a music scholarship for operatic singing. After graduation, he worked for a large general contracting firm before answering the call to the priesthood. He has served on the Standing Committee for the Diocese of Pennsylvania and the Pension Committee of the National Episcopal Church. He is also an Honorary Canon for Mission in the Episcopal Diocese of Guatemala.

The luncheon meeting will be at The Acorn Club, 1519 Locust Street, Philadelphia. The program will start with social hour at 12 noon, followed by the luncheon at 12:30 and then the presentation. The price for the luncheon is $35 per person. There will be a cash bar for those who wish wine or other refreshments, including non-alcoholic beverages. Discounted parking is available at LAZ Self Park, 1500 Locust Street.
